It’s back to school at the Central Prison of Libreville
23 October 2015
It's back to school for everyone! Yesterday, minors incarcerated at the Central Prison of Libreville started lessons. This year, there are 51 pupils at the "fresh start" school divided up as follows:
- 25 level B pupils (last year of primary - first two years of secondary);
- 16 level C/D pupils (third and fourth year secondary)
- 10 level A pupils (literacy)
The pupils were given school supplies by the FSBO and expressed their joy at going back to the classroom. "We started lessons on 19 October and were happy to receive our school supplies. We thank Maman Sylvia BONGO who encourages us to change our behaviour through the things we are taught at school." Pupil O. N., level C/D.
