Four healthcare professionals from ICL in training in Morocco
11 November 2015
In Gabon, where cervical and breast cancers are the most deadly ones, representing 40 % of women's cancers, we more than ever have a need for competent, efficient and above all, properly trained, agents. Through our operational and technical partnership with the Lalla Salma Cancer Treatment and Prevention Foundation, Morocco offers us an opportunity to fight cancer together. This is how 4 healthcare professionals from ICL spent two weeks training at the HASSAN II University Hospital Centre in Fes (Morocco). Among other things, the course concentrated on admission and care of the patient, palliative treatment, organisation and running of the hospital unit, anti-tumour medication, advice given to cancer patients .... And finally, a course concentrating on the follow-up and psychological support given to patients will also enable us to improve the psycho-social support conditions for patients admitted to Alice House in the future, as well as for their families. A big thank you to all those of you who help us in this effort. It is by joining forces that we will win our fight against cancer!
