3rd Edition of Pink October: an impressive response

The 3rd edition of our Pink October campaign is over. The surprise this year was that companies as well as associations seemed to rally and rush to mobilise across the entire country to help as many women as possible to undergo screening.

Over thirty associations have followed in the footsteps of “Cris de Femmes” (“Women Cry Out”) and “Défi de Femmes” (“Challenge for Women”) in Libreville and Port-Gentil, to bring together over 1,100 women to be screened in the various centres.

As for companies, we pay tribute to companies and public agencies such as Radisson Blu, CAISTAB and ANINF  for getting involved and organising information sessions for their entire staff.

Special thanks to all healthcare personnel which has rallied to ensure free screenings.

Finally, we congratulate all new early detection units which opened during the course of 2016, as well as the Schweitzer Hospital and in particular, the Georges Rawiri University Hospital in Lambaréné  where close to 600 consultations were conducted.
