World Malaria Day : About 9000 insecticide nets distributed to Gabonese families during this special day
25 April 2017
“Filling the Gap” is the theme chosen by the World Health Organisation for World Malaria Day 2017. The aim is to raise awareness among social participants to develop and promote prevention tools against the disease.
On this occasion, the Foundation teams have visited the people of the Owendo township to hand out insecticide nets.
Our partners have contributed to the distribution chain by donating such items to associations and orphanages in Libreville as well as further in-land, in order to reach as many as possible.
Almost 9,000 insecticide nets were handed out to Gabonese families on that day. Since 2011, the Foundation has already gifted over 40,000 nets to Gabonese households.
